Laboratory of intelligent wiring systems

Head of laboratory: doc. Ing. Jaroslav Džmura, PhD.

The laboratory is focused on supporting teaching in the field of intelligent wiring systems from the hardware as well as from the software side. It is possible to examine the influence of different architectures of intelligent wiring systems on their efficiency, resp. on the complexity of the application, system settings and their use.

Subjects and outputs of education:

  • Engineering study: Subject Automated electrical installation systems (Basic knowledge and skills in the field of programming automated electrical installation systems. Competences in the use of software tools ETS (Engineering Tool Software) and iDM3 (iNELS3 Designer & Manager))
  • Doctoral study: Subject Scientific activity 1-5 .: Ability to independently design, construct, implement and modify a substantial part of research with scientific integrity and contribute to the original research to expand the boundaries of scientific knowledge through the implementation of an extensive set of works, some of which are worthy of peer-reviewed publications. Achieving original scientific results, acceptable at the international level. Based on the implementation of scientific research, the graduate is considered an expert in his field.

In the laboratory, it is directly possible to change the existing demonstration intelligent electrical installation system by adding or removing its building blocks, e.g. terminal equipment, control, central or control units. It is also possible to change the configuration of the built system and thus model the behavior of the real application of such a system. The configuration and control of the system takes place via the EIB bus via the appropriate protocol using PC technology.

Laboratory equipment:

  • PC for system configuration with internet connection.
  • EIB bus.
  • Siemens Touch Manager control panel.
  • Terminal controlled devices: table lamp, fluorescent lamp with DALI ballast.
  • Controlled blinds.
  • Temperature, light and smoke sensors.
  • LOGO.
  • Programmable switching elements.
