Gas Insulators Laboratory

The laboratory is focused on research purposes, laboratory testing and testing for industry, as well as for teaching purposes at the Department of Electrical Power Engineering. The research part is focused on investigating the electrical breakdown strength of gas insulators in a slightly inhomogeneous and strongly inhomogeneous electric field when changing gas pressure. Teaching in the laboratory for students is focused on practical laboratory exercises with the aim of verifying theoretical knowledge and acquiring skills with measuring equipment. Laboratory exercises are carried out for bachelor's students in the following subjects: High Voltage Technology.
